Time series data for marine research

Time Series Databases

Our databases support a range of GEOMAR projects. Most follow the STAMPLATE schema, and we provide suitable solutions for collecting, managing, and sharing your measurement data.

For questions or support, contact us at swe-info@geomar.de.

Manage your time series data

Import, organize, and remove time series data across GEOMAR's marine data services.

Currently available on the test system only.

Our Databases

5 databases

Boknis Eck

A long-running coastal time series station in the Eckernförde Bight, with monthly observations dating back to 1957. The measurements support research on changing marine ecosystems and environmental conditions.

SOOP

An innovation platform for ocean observation that connects research, maritime infrastructure, and new measurement technologies. SOOP helps make observations from ships and other vessels available for scientific use.

Memento

A global data initiative focused on marine methane and nitrous oxide observations. MEMENTO brings together measurements to improve the understanding of air-sea exchange and identify regions where further observations are needed.

Currently available on the test system only.

Sailing for Oxygen (S4O2)

A citizen-science observing network that turns sailing trips in the Baltic Sea into valuable measurements. Participating crews collect oxygen, salinity, temperature, and depth data to help document the state of the sea.

Underway

A database for measurements collected while research vessels are on the move. It brings together continuous observations from marine journeys to support monitoring, quality control, and ocean research.
